2020 SPECIALTY SHOW
Please join us for our Specialty Show weekend, August 7, 8 and 9, 2020 in beautiful Snohomish Washington! Our shows are held in conjunction with three days of Sammamish Kennel Club all-breed shows. The SBTCPS will hold Designated Specialties on Friday and Saturday, and Sunday will be a Staffordshire Bull Terrier Club of America Supported Entry Show. Anticipated start time is 9:00 each day. The show site is located at French Creek Hunt Club, 11921 Old Snohomish Monroe Road, Snohomish, WA.
We are very excited to have Breeder Judge Damon Folmar as our judge on Friday, and fellow Stafford Breeder Dianne de la Rocha as our Friday Sweepstakes judge. The Saturday judge will be Debra Thornton with Sylvie McGee judging Sweepstakes, and Sunday's judge is Terrier Specialist Betsy Dale.
On Friday afternoon following the breed judging we will be having Canine Good Citizen and AKC Temperament Test evaluations for Staffordshire Bull Terriers only. There will be two ATT tests. If you pass both tests you will earn your title! These tests will be free to Club members, and $10.00 to non-members. Registration is "on the day" and will begin at 1:00. For more information on the AKC Temperament test: https://www.akc.org/akctemptest/ Information about the CGC can be found here: https://www.akc.org/products-services/training-programs/canine-good-citizen/
Don't forget our "World Famous" barbeque on Saturday! Hamburgers, hotdogs, and all the fixins, cooked up by our excellent team, all for just a small donation. Our cooks will get started on the grills at the conclusion of breed judging (about 1:00.) Be sure to bring some extra cash for our raffle, and if you have something to donate for the raffle table, bring it along.
SEATTLE KENNEL CLUB "MEET THE BREED"
For over twenty years SBTCPS Members participated in the Seattle Kennel Club's "Meet the Breed" event which was held in conjunction with their annual show. Each year the dog loving public came by the thousands to this celebration of dogs held in downtown Seattle. Club members and their Staffords spent two whole days at the booth meeting the public, answering questions, and sharing our wonderful breed. Sadly, 2019 was the last year for Seattle Kennel Club in downtown Seattle, and they closed the crate door on this event.
We recently learned that the Tacoma Kennel Club, in it's new show location at the Tacoma Dome, will be hosting a Meet the Breed event in April and we plan to be there!

Well another successful Specialty is in the books. This year's show was held in conjunction with the Hurricane Ridge Kennel Club show in Sequim, WA. This was a new location for us. The change in venue was not without a few difficulties, but the show site was beautiful, the exhibitors friendly, and of course there were all of those stunning Staffords! Thank you to all our exhibitors for coming to our show, and to all who helped and supported us. This doesn't happen without you!
